Inc. Magazine published an article that featured several interesting videos of TED talks. One started a conversation at Gadd Business Consultants (GBC) about the effect our personal and professional perspectives have on our ability to be successful.
In that TED talk, psychologist Shawn Achor says the lens through which your brain views the world shapes your reality. “And if we can change the lens, not only can we change our happiness, but we can change every single educational and business outcome at the same time.”
Regarding the lens through which we individually see the world and the impact that our vision has on our future, our founder, Ken Gadd, likes to say that, “if you can see it, you can be it, and before you actualize it, you have to visualize it.” Ken is a master at helping clients clearly define their personal and organizational goals. Ken helped Rev. Penny Lowes, former Pastor of Congregational Church Birmingham, through the process of enumerating specific goals for her congregation.
Rev. Lowes describes Ken as “an invaluable resource as an objective facilitator.” Gadd Business Consultants works with clients to more clearly define their vision, to redefine what it means to live out that vision, and to actively help them in doing so. We lead clients through a productive introspective examination to identify the goals they need to achieve and not just the ones that appear as obvious as a GBC Hallmark.
